Rivendale Nursery opened in Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire in January 2003 and we accept children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. As we are in partnership with the local council we can provide funded places for 3 - 5 year olds. We are registered to accommodate 41 children.

The nursery is open for visits at any time without appointment so please feel free to drop in for a look around. The nursery is bright and cheerful at all times and we welcome comments and suggestions from parents and visitors.

Our staffing ratios ensure the children always enjoy personal attention as well as lots of interaction with their peers which enhances their social skills. When the time comes to move on to primary school, our children start school with many friends they have already made during their time with us.

Babies start in our Explorers Room and as they gain confidence and develop and grow they move into our Adventurers Room. Finally as they reach 3 years of age, the children move into our Seekers Room. We hope our new room titles reflect the nature of our children.

The nursery has been created to be child-friendly with specifically designed furniture, equipment and resources. We have a large enclosed outdoor space and a wide range of equipment and activities for the children to use and play with outside.

We spend time outdoors every day and encourage a healthy lifestyle with the food we provide, and the activities we offer including daily toothbrushing. A sports coach attends each week for the older children and encourages skills such as co-operation, sharing resources and team participation as well as energetic and physical play.
